On Valentine’s Day 2026, The Voice Actors Studio turned 11 years old.
And I’ve been thinking about how it all began.
There was no business plan or perfectly mapped strategy.
Back in 2010, I simply started helping people who wanted to voice act… from my living room.
That’s it.
I didn’t know what it would become.
I just knew it felt right.
And here’s what I’ve learned:
You don’t have to have everything figured out to begin.
You just have to take the first step.
Then another.
And then another.

TVAS wasn’t built from a master blueprint.
It was shaped by small, heart-led decisions made along the way.
As things unfolded organically, I responded.
I adjusted.
I trusted my instincts.
I kept showing up.
And slowly – something real took form.
What I didn’t understand at the beginning… is that building something meaningful is never static. It’s alive. And it’s always evolving.
Every new step invites change.
Every season asks something different of us.
Growth requires movement, flexibility, and oftentimes the courage to step into the unknown again and again.
It’s beautiful and scary to build something. Especially when it’s something that matters a lot to you.
There are moments of doubt.
Moments of growth.
Moments when you wonder if you’re doing it “right.”
But if you’re building something you genuinely love… the process itself becomes the reward.
So whether you’re pursuing voice acting, starting a new career, writing a book, or simply stepping into a new season of life…
You don’t need the whole staircase. Just the next step.
Take it.
Love every minute of it while you let it unfold.
And trust that as you grow… what you’re building will grow and evolve with you.
You might be surprised where it leads. 💛
Happy 11th Anniversary, TVAS Fam.
And here’s to you – the dreamers who dare to begin. How sweet it is to tell stories with you.
