Audiobooks…if 30-second commercial voiceover is a sprint, then the audiobook is the marathon. Do you love telling stories? We’d love to hear you! Our “Audiobooks 101: Intro to Audiobooks” workshop will inspire you to get behind the mic & tell a great story! Coaches: Jack de Golia & Abby Elvidge.

How do you apply your storytelling chops to the world of long-form VO? Abby Elvidge, a skilled and passionate audiobook narrator, and Jack de Golia, the “Voice of Character,” and narrator of over 120 audiobooks, will give you an overview of audiobooks from the voice talent point of view. Jack and Abby both came to audiobooks from theater backgrounds. They’ll help you raise the curtain on your own audiobook performances. You will experience narrating, learn some character voicing techniques, work on sight reading, and get a peek into the world of audiobooks for voice actors.

*You will receive an mp3 copy of all of your takes recorded during this workshop, as well as your coach’s feedback/notes.

We’ll cover topics like:
• You have a great voice, now what?
• Can you actually make a living voice acting?
• Do you need an agent?
• Where and how do you find work?
• Do you need to live in a big city like Los Angeles or New York to be successful?
We’ll cover all of this and more!
