ACX: Getting there with “Twisted Wave”
Date: Sunday, June 9, 1:00-4:00pm | Cost: $79
If you’re thinking audiobooks might be the VO genre for you, here’s a class to help get your technical ducks in a row. Audio submitted to the Audiobook Creation Exchange (ACX.com) needs to meet certain technical specifications. It’s much more than “hit record” and “submit.”
Using the app “Twisted Wave,” Jack de Golia, an award-winning audiobook narrator, will guide you through the steps in between “hitting record” and “submitting.” This workshop is designed for you to bring your own Mac laptop, and to work on audiobook audio in class. You may bring a 5-minute or shorter piece of audiobook audio that you’ve already recorded (but not edited or processed) or use raw audiobook audio you’ll be provided.
We’ll cover simple editing, organizing an audiobook production process, correcting mistakes, and using key features of Twisted Wave to work as efficiently as possible.
Note: Twisted Wave will only work on Macintosh computers.
